WE DO
OUR STORY.
We challenge the mere 90-day stay within a shelter for those less fortunate who are striving to rebuild their lives. However, we believe that 90 days falls short of what is truly necessary. In fact, we propose that a six-month period is needed to break the cycle of poverty effectively.
Our initiative is simple: to extend the shelter stay for young mothers, enabling them to fully regain their footing and secure employment. We understand that quick fixes are not the answer; instead, we are dedicated to finding stable, long-term solutions.
We guide men, women, young children, and families on a safe and healthy journey from poverty to successful living. Through our comprehensive programs, we aim to empower them emotionally, mentally, physically, intellectually, and help them to connect to a higher power ensuring that they can thrive in all aspects of life.
Together, we can create a brighter future, one where individuals have the time and resources they need to overcome obstacles and achieve true success.
PROGRAMS.
Emotional Aspect – I Can Be Me Art
Through the use of painting and drawing, we provide a safe space for youth to explore and express their emotions, around trauma, anger, bullying, loneliness, and self-esteem. We aim to empower and equip these young individuals with the necessary tools and skills to navigate life with grace and resilience.
Physical Aspect – Phenomenal Kids Cooking
Offers essential life skills that educates the youth about healthy eating and preparing nutritious meals. We make early learning fun with hands-on activities such as establishing community gardens. We aim to reduce health issues such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, asthma, and dental problems.
Intellectual Aspect – Write Your World! Live Your Dreams!
Specifically designed to cultivate a deep passion for literature among youth, while enhancing their critical thinking skills and vocabulary. Our curriculum focuses on engaging kids in various book genres and literary styles, empowering them to author and publish their own books or e- books. We aim to demonstrate how reading and writing can create opportunities in the global market.
Higher-Power Aspect – Pathway to Prosperity: Elevating Black and Brown Communities
To bridge the economic disparities in Black and Brown communities by providing access to education, job training, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and housing resources. We aim to promote economic growth and establish a foundation for long-term success and stability.
